UFC Fight Night 170: Lee vs. Oliveira Betting Tips, Odds, and Preview

✅Fight odds and Betting Tips ✅ Preview

Will the odds be ever in the favour of grit over skill? Find out this weekend.

For the first time in the company’s long history, the UFC will feature an international fight card behind closed doors. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, UFC Fight Night: Lee vs. Oliveira, as well as its media day and ceremonial weigh-ins will be held in an empty Ginasio Nilson Nelson arena in Brasilia, Brazil.

On paper, however, this still promises to be a definite barnburner of a match-up.

Hometown favourite, Charles “do Bronx” Oliveira, unfortunately, will not have his rabid Brazilian crowd behind him, but he still comes into the fight with great momentum, winning his last six fights finishing the likes of Jim Miller, Nik Lentz, and Jared Gordon. Impressively, he holds multiple UFC records, with the most notable having 13 submission wins, the most in the promotion’s storied history.

Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, on the other hand, is no slouch on the ground either, being a decorated amateur wrestler and grappler in his own right. He’s also jumped ship from Xtreme Couture to Tristar Gym with Firas Zahabi, training and picking the brains of one the best to put on a four-ounce MMA gloves, Georges “Rush” St-Pierre.

Who to Bet on UFC Fight Night 170?

It’s probably safe to say that Kevin Lee’s main game plan is to try and avoid Charles Oliveira’s takedowns and sweeps — basically keep the fight standing. Although, looking at do Bronx’s previous fights, he’s no slouch on the feet and has knocked out his last two opponents the aforementioned Nik Lentz (in their third and likely last bout) and Jared Gordon.

After an uneventful and disappointing stint at featherweight — in which he missed weight four times, it seems like Charles Oliveira is at the top of his game, both physically and mentally, right now at lightweight. Many pundits consider him to be one of the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu aces not just in the UFC but the whole world; add that to the fact that his stand-up has been continuously evolving and he’s one step closer to being a complete fighter.

Kevin Lee will have a lot on his plate when the Octagon door closes, but if there’s one thing going his way; it’s his grit, having this unique quality — that kill or be killed attitude — that separates him from the rest. Coming from a wrestling background, he constantly grinds in training and during fights, so fans and sports bettors alike should not instantly sleep on him.

Lee vs. Oliveira Betting Tips and Odds

As of this moment, different oddsmakers pegs Kevin Lee as a slight favourite over Charles Oliveira. 888Sport has the American at 1.67, Ohmbet at 1.68, 1.69 for Mr. Green, while Betsafe puts him at 1.71.

Despite his recent efforts, Charles Oliveira comes into the main event as an underdog. He’s a 2.18 on 888Sport and Ohmbet, as well as a 2.19 on Mr. Green and Betsafe.

With or without a wild Brazilian crown in attendance, fans watching at home can still expect a lot of fireworks when these two combatants collide on the 15th of March.
