Lobov rose to fame as Conor McGregor’s loyal training partner, and competed for the UFC seven times before making his BKFC-debut in April.

He made his debut against fellow UFC-veteran Jason Knight and won the fight via unanimous decision, and then shook the world by defeating the former boxing world champion Paulie Malignaggi at Bare Knuckle FC 6 in June.

This weekend it was time for Lobov and Knight to rematch, but this time it was Knight that took home the victory, by KO in the fifth and final round.

“Artem Lobov! What a warrior. What a journey this has been mate. What a journey this is,” McGregor wrote.

“Congrats to Jason Knight. Amazing warrior. Great fight.”
