You won’t believe how UFC Champion Volkanovski used to look!

✅ The UFC Champions used to weigh almost 100 kg!

It is hard to believe, but there was a time when UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski used to weigh almost 100 kg (!!!).

Now, 31-year-old is the reigning king of the UFC’s featherweight division and has cut down from 97 kg to 66 kg.

Looking at pictures from his days as a professional rugby player, it is not difficult to see the difference between his lean MMA body and his bulked up former self.

Also remember that Volkanovski is only 5 ft 6 in (168 cm), which means that extra weight truly makes him live up to his nickname “The Hulk”.

These first pictures are from when he started his MMA career and used to compete in the welterweight division, and how he looked when he weighed 97 kg:

Just look how massive Volkanovski looked while playing rugby:

Alexander Volkanovski is unbeaten since 2013

Volkanovski’s decision to start training MMA instead of rugby has truly paid of. He made his MMA debut in 2012 and won two local championship belts in his three first fights.

In May, 2013 he would suffer his first and only loss, but have since then gone on an unbelievable tear with 18 straight wins and multiple championship belts.

In Nov, 2016 Volkanovski made his UFC debut in the lightweight division by defeating Yusuke Kasuya via TKO.

In his second UFC fight, he would cut down to featherweight and has since taken on some absolute legends in the game, including the former featherweight legend Jose Aldo and dethroning Max Holloway at UFC 245.

MMA can truly change your life!
