Jon Jones Opens as Heavy Favorite Over Alexander Gustafsson Ahead of Rematch at UFC 232

Jon Jones will walk into his fight at UFC 232 as a heavy betting favorite over Alexander Gustafsson in one of the most highly anticipated rematches in recent history

Jon Jones may have been gone for the past 15 months but that doesn’t mean his reputation as one of the greatest fighters of all time has disappeared.

That’s why Jones will walk into his next fight at UFC 232 on Dec. 29 has a heavy betting favorite over Alexander Gustafsson when they clash for the second time with the light heavyweight title on the line.

The matchup was confirmed on Wednesday with Jones returning to face Gustafsson five years after their first fight was hailed as one of the greatest five round wars in the history of the sport.

The first time around, Jones was a massive 8-to-1 betting favorite because no one believed Gustafsson could offer him much of a challenge. That was proven dramatically wrong as Gustafsson gave Jones everything he could handle over all 25 minutes but still ultimately came up short in a decision loss.

Now Gustafsson will get a second shot at Jones and while the odds are a lot closer this time around, he’s still a solid underdog heading into UFC 232 according to the betting experts at Ohmbet.com.

Based on these current odds, Jones is approximately just over a 2-to-1 favorite to beat Gustafsson in the rematch.

Of course these odds could shift as the fight draws nearer but for now, Jones remains a heavy favorite to defeat Gustafsson a second time when they meet in December.
