Sean Strickland launches new attack on Chimaev: “FUCKING WHORE”
Strickland continues his verbal assault on Chimaev
Sean Strickland has once again targeted Khamzat Chimaev with strong words ahead of his title fight at UFC 312. The event is set to take place at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, this coming weekend. The main event features a highly anticipated rematch between reigning middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis and challenger Strickland.
The winner of this fight is widely expected to defend the title against Khamzat Chimaev next. If Strickland manages to dethrone du Plessis, a heated matchup against Chimaev seems inevitable. While Chimaev remained relatively calm ahead of his fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC 308, it is unlikely that he will do the same if he faces Strickland in the future.
Strickland’s latest verbal attack
Just a week ago, Strickland launched a harsh verbal assault on Chimaev, calling him a “Chechen whore” while questioning his connection to Chechnya and its leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
During a media day interview ahead of UFC 312, Strickland once again attacked Chimaev’s background, accusing him of fleeing Chechnya only to later return and form ties with its dictatorial leader.
“We need to talk about Mr. Chimaev. Let’s talk about that fucking guy,” Strickland said.
“Now Chimaev is scared shitless. He is thinking, ‘I wanted to be a whore, but I do not want to be part of this.’”
Strickland went on to criticize Chimaev’s past and political associations, claiming that Chimaev left his home country because of a violent dictatorship but later returned for financial gain.
“Chimaev fled Chechnya with his family because of an oppressive, warlord dictator that killed people indiscriminately. He goes back to Chechnya because somebody wants to buy him a G-Wagon, and he is like, ‘Oh yeah! I will be that whore.’”

Crypto scam accusations
In addition to attacking Chimaev’s political connections, Strickland also brought up the controversy surrounding Chimaev’s involvement in the SMASH meme coin cryptocurrency project, which faced backlash after a major drop in value.
Strickland claimed that he was offered a similar crypto endorsement deal worth between $100,000 and $200,000, but he refused.
“I had the same Bitcoin scam offer. It was like $100,000-$200,000. I was like, ‘Fuck you, dude. I am not going to scam my fans,’” Strickland said.
Chimaev has since denied knowingly misleading fans, stating that he was unfamiliar with cryptocurrency and apologized to his supporters for the situation.
What happens next?
The escalating war of words between Strickland and Chimaev has added another layer of tension to the UFC’s middleweight division. While UFC president Dana White has not officially confirmed Chimaev as the next title contender, many believe he is next in line.
Should Strickland defeat Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312, it would set up one of the most intense and controversial title fights in recent UFC history.
