UFC 304: Tom Aspinall Dominates, Finishes Blaydes Early
Aspinall Defends Interim Title with Spectacular Finish
Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall delivered yet another spectacular finish when he faced Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. Although this match was technically a rematch, the first encounter ended abruptly due to Aspinall suffering a knee injury just seconds into the fight. This time, Aspinall was able to demonstrate his superiority with a dominant performance.
Early in the first round, the fighters exchanged strikes, with Blaydes’ boxing looking sharp as he landed several good shots. Aspinall then moved into the clinch and pressed Blaydes against the cage. It didn’t take long for them to separate, and just seconds later, Aspinall landed a heavy jab that dropped Blaydes. He followed up with relentless ground-and-pound, marking the end of the fight.

With this victory, Aspinall successfully defends his interim title after winning it with an incredible knockout against Sergei Pavlovich last year. It will now be nearly impossible for Jon Jones to deny him a shot at the undisputed title. Aspinall took the opportunity to challenge Jones in his victory interview, confident that he has what it takes to hand “Bones” his first true defeat.
