Watch the Video! – Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad Meet in an Elevator
UFC 304 Approaches
As UFC 304 approaches, most fighters set to compete on the card are now in Manchester, England. This information comes from UFC’s YouTube series, Embedded, where fans can follow various fighters during the week leading up to the event.
Edwards vs. Muhammad: A Rematch
Two fighters currently in Manchester are those set to clash for the welterweight title on the main card of UFC 304: Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad. They previously met in the octagon at UFC Vegas 21, a fight that ended abruptly due to an eye poke from Edwards. At that time, they were ranked 3rd and 13th respectively. Following a victory over Nate Diaz in his next fight, Leon “Rocky” Edwards earned his title shot.
Belal Muhammad continued his remarkable winning streak after the unfortunate no-contest with Edwards, entering UFC 304 undefeated in his last 10 fights.

Edwards and Muhammad’s Elevator Encounter
In a bizarre scene from UFC Embedded, viewers get a glimpse of the tension that precedes stepping into the octagon with another fighter. UFC cameras captured the moment when Leon Edwards stepped into the same elevator as his opponent, the man dreaming of taking his belt.
In the video, Team Edwards is seen entering the elevator, with Edwards and Muhammad intensely staring at each other. Edwards laughs almost throughout the awkward elevator ride, during which the two discuss who has an unpleasant odor, a conversation even the welterweight champion’s coach joins.
A Surprise Appearance by Tom Aspinall
At the end of this entertaining scene, the camera shows that interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall was on the floor where both welterweights got off. When filmed, Aspinall simply sighs and says:
– “I missed all the drama.”
