Joe Rogan Accuses Judges of Rigging Fury vs. Ngannou!
Joe Rogan accuses the judges of rigging the highly publicized boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou in October last year!
Shocking Outcome for Fans
Fury was undefeated when he faced UFC star Ngannou in the ring and was widely considered the best heavyweight boxer in the world at the time. This is why it came as a shock to fans when Ngannou not only managed to survive to a decision but also won several rounds.
Controversial Split Decision
Fury went on to win the match via a disputed split decision, but many fans felt Ngannou should have been awarded the victory instead. Among those who disagreed with the judges’ decision was Joe Rogan, who believes it was a conspiracy by the judges to ensure Fury’s highly anticipated match against Oleksandr Usyk happened.
“I thought (Ngannou) won that fight,” Rogan said about Fury vs. Ngannou on his podcast. “But, you know, they were aiming for the Usyk fight. They weren’t going to let – yeah, it felt a little rigged. It was close enough for them to do it. You could think, ‘Okay, maybe. Maybe you can have (Fury) as the winner.’ But I don’t think so. I thought Francis won. A lot of people thought Francis won.”

Future Matchups and Outcomes
Despite a weak performance against Ngannou, Fury went on to a super fight against Usyk in May. There, he put on a much better performance, but Usyk proved to be the sharper boxer and claimed a victory via split decision after twelve tough rounds. Ngannou, meanwhile, moved on to suffer a brutal knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. A rematch between Fury and Usyk is expected later this year.
