Two weeks ago, it was announced that former UFC champion Israel Adesanya would make his highly anticipated return at UFC 305. Adesanya is set to face current middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis in the main event.
Adesanya has been out of action since losing his title to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 last September. Meanwhile, Du Plessis secured a victory over Strickland at UFC 297 earlier this year, adding to his impressive win against UFC veteran Robert Whittaker via TKO.
Former title challenger Steve Erceg will also return to the octagon for the first time since his loss to UFC champion Alexandre Pantoja. Erceg is set to fight top-ranked flyweight Kai Kara-France on the main card. UFC 305 will take place in Perth, Australia, on August 18. Additionally, heavyweight Junior Tafa has been confirmed to compete against Russian fighter Valter Walker. Watch the press conference in the player below!
