Stipe Miocic Eager for Summer Showdown with Winner of Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane
Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is eager to return to the octagon and challenge the winner of the upcoming vacant title fight between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane. Miocic, who is currently the all-time winningest heavyweight champion in UFC history, took to Twitter to express his interest in a summer fight with the new champion.
Miocic, a 40-year-old firefighter and paramedic, has not competed since March 2021 when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou in the main event of UFC 260. The defeat marked the end of his second reign as UFC heavyweight champion and snapped a two-fight winning streak.
March 4th – I like it.
I got winner in July.

Despite the loss, Miocic remains one of the most respected and accomplished fighters in the UFC’s heavyweight division. He has defeated some of the biggest names in the sport, including Daniel Cormier (twice), Ngannou, Junior Dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, and Fabricio Werdum.
With the heavyweight division in flux following Ngannou’s departure, Miocic sees an opportunity to reclaim his spot at the top and is eager to face the winner of Jones vs. Gane.
“I got winner in July,” Miocic wrote on Twitter, signaling his readiness for a summer showdown with the new champion.
