Nate Diaz offered “a fan’s dream fight” against UFC veteran!
Nate Diaz is being “aggressively” sought after by BKFC, who want to see him take on a fellow UFC veteran in bare-knuckle boxing.
At UFC 279 this past weekend Diaz finished both his UFC contract and former interim champion Tony Ferguson, trapping him in a guillotine in the fourth round. During his post-fight interview Diaz hinted at a move to boxing, where he plans to “take over” and show his rivals how it’s done.
A possible fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul could happen in the not so distant future, however Paul first needs to make it past “The Spider” Anderson Silva in their upcoming bout. A feat much easier said than done.
In the meantime Diaz could fight in bare-knuckle promotion BKFC, who are “aggressively” pursuing the UFC star.
“Nate Diaz is absolutely on the radar,” BKFC president David Felderman revealed. He’s not just on the radar, we’re aggressively gonna make a move for him right now. I know he has something else that he’s working on right now, but I have a feeling after having a talk with the partners and the guys at Triller that we’re gonna be able to make a really viable attempt. We’re going for this, absolutely.”
The opponent whom the BKFC president has in mind is none other than UFC veteran Mike Perry, who recently defeated Bellator star Michael “Venom” Page and has a record of two wins and no defeats in BKFC.
“I think that the fans would absolutely love to see both of the same personalities, just guys that keep fighting… Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry would be a fan’s dream fight. I think the fans would love to see that.”
