UFC Vegas 53: Font Vs. Vera - Fight Card & Info

In anticipation of the UFC 274 event that kicks off on May 7, it’s time for another exciting event this weekend in the UFC’s own Apex arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC Vegas 53 guarantees the excitement with an exciting main event in perhaps the organization’s most competitive division, namely the bantamweight class. Top-ranked fighters Rob Font faces Marlon Vera in the Apex Octagon this weekend for the opportunity to climb in the rankings.

In recently, both athletes have impressed in the octagon, apart from their respective losses against the legendary José Aldo. However, a loss against the former champion does not constitute a major stain on fight ability, especially considering how the Brazilian has performed in recent times!

The last time “Chito” Vera appeared was against the former champion Frankie Edgar, which he finished via a brutal front kick.

The co-main event we go up several weight classes to the heavyweight division where veteran Andrei Arlovski meets Jake Collier.

At the age of 43, Arlovski has managed to build up a solid winning streak of three consecutive in his weight class. He also has five wins in his last six fights, of which the only defeat has come against the young British top talent Tom Aspinall.

Collier, for his part, managed to submit Chase Sherman in his latest performance earlier this year, and is now aiming to extend his winning streak when he faces Arlovski in this weekend’s co-main bout.
