DARREN TILL WANTS TO TRAIN WITH KHAMZAT IN SWEDEN!
The Swedish MMA star Khamzat Chimaev has become one of the biggest names in the UFC today. Although he has only had four UFC fights so far, many fans claim that he could be the toughest test for the current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. This is not very surprising considering that he finished all the opponents early on and impressively.
Despite his success in the UFC, Khamzat is more than willing to help other fighters (and potential opponents) with their training. For example, he has given a former opponent wrestling tips and offered the popular middleweight contender Darren Till the opportunity to train wrestling with him in Sweden. In a new episode of the former middleweight champion Michael Bisping’s podcast, “Believe You Me”, Till chose to comment on a potential match-up against Gilbert Burns for Khamzat and commented on the possibility of training with the Swedish MMA star.
“Khamzat is the real deal,” Till said. He is very good. Is he as good as he thinks or as people say? I do not know. Will he become a world champion? I do not know. I would really like to get out (to Khamzat) and train with him or have him come to me. I think he is a (real challenge for champion Usman). But Gilbert Burns is a monster. It’s a very good fight.

Till defends the criticism of the opponents – “Should we put Khamzat against top-10 guys right away?”
Most recently, Khamzat has received a lot of criticism about the level of opponents he faced in the UFC. Even after Khamzat’s impressive submission victory to the highly ranked Li Jingliang, many fans and fighters dismissed the win as Jingliang was not considered a particularly tough test. I do not agree at all with the criticism, said Till in the podcast.
– I hate when people say, “Well, he’s just fought this guy or this guy,” Till said. What do you want us to do? Should we put Khamzat against the top 10 guys right away? (Fighters) must grow and learn. That’s just how it is.
Khamzat and Till have had conversations before, including a Instagram-Live where they discussed future opponent for Khamzat, namely Neil Magny. Khamzat brought out a knife in the middle of the conversation – use it to “slap” Magny with. Check out the video below!
