Dustin Poirier About Who Is the Best Boxer in the UFC – the Champion Responds
UFC top ranked lightweight Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier has shared who he thinks is the best boxer in the organization.
Many think that Max “Blessed” Holloway who recently fought against Yair Rodriguez has the best boxing and in the bout where he dominated Calvin Kattar at the beginning of the year, Holloway took the opportunity to shout that he is the best boxer. Poirier holds wins over Holloway and does not really agree with the former champion.
“The Diamond” appeared on Ariel Helwani’s “The MMA Hour” and was asked who he considers to be the best boxer in the UFC. And according to title challenger Poirier, it is the UFC bantamweight division’s interim champion Petr Yan who is awarded the throne.
“I think it’s Petr Yan,” said Poirier. Just the way he moves, he makes no movements unnecessarily and positions himself very well. He’s never out of position and does not need to reload before throwing away hard strikes.
– High accuracy, works against the body well and gets off both low and high. These are just some of the things that Yan does extremely well!
Petr Yan responds to Dustin Poirier’s statement!
Yan took on Twitter and reacted to the news that Poirier considered his boxing highest among all UFC athletes.
– This shows that Dustin Poirier understands boxing much better than Conor McGregor, Yan wrote.
