Dana White open for Jon Jones vs Brock Lesnar: “I would do it”
Dana White is open for working on a bout between former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and ex heavyweight title holder Brock Lesnar.
Jones has vacated his title recently in order to pursue a career at heavyweight. In the process he has called out the likes of heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and divisional boogeyman Francis Ngannou. Throughout the years, though, he has called for a fight with former UFC champion and WWE star Lesnar, who hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2016.
During het past few days, Jones took to social media to challenge Miocic, and took the opportunity to fire shots at Lesnar as well.

White spoke to MMA media on site for this weekend’s UFC event, and opened up on the topic.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously I talked to TMZ about that one today, and I was like listen, if they both want to fight each other then I’m sure it’s a fight that the fans would want to see. It would be a good introduction to Jones into the heavyweight division. Yeah, if they wanted to do it, I would do it,” White said.
“He’s 43 years old and he’s got a lot of money. I don’t know what his plans are and how his body feels or any of that. Like I said, I haven’t talked to him. (TMZ) asked me about it because his contract is up and I said if he calls me and he’s interested in fighting, then I would obviously consider making that fight,” White said.
Lesnar last fought Mark Hunt at UFC 200, and while he won the fight via decision, he tested positive for banned substances – Twice. Since then he has returned to the WWE where he continued a lucrative career.
Jones has enjoyed an undefeated reign atop the light heavyweight, which has become subsequently less dominant over the past few years. While he has never been defeated as champion, he had close fights with Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes – The latter of which many felt should have gone to the challenger.
