Sources: Norwegian light heavyweight Kenneth Berg signs with UFC
The UFC light heavyweight division seems to have another fighter set to join the ranks. According to sources to MMAnytt’s Ashah Tafari Norway’s Kenneth Bergh (8-0, 1 NC) has signed with the UFC. The sources wished to speak under anonymity, so far the UFC have not confirmed the report. According to the reports Bergh will make his debut at UFC Fight Island in Abu Dhabi later this month.
Bergh trains at Frontline Academy alongside Top 15 UFC middleweight Jack Hermansson, amongst others. The Norwegian made his professional debut in 2013 and racked up three straight wins via finish before getting a call for season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter. He would however end up losing to Eric Spicely in a qualifying exhibition bout. After another three straight wins, including a submission victory over TUF vet Norman Paraisy, Bergh would earn a chance to compete at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The Frontline Academy product lost via submission to Antonio Trocoli, but the loss was changed to a No Contest following a failed test for banned substances.

Since then Bergh has gone on to win an additional two fights, both via first round finish. In his last outing at Superior Challenge 20 he finished David Marcina after just 21 seconds. The Norwegian was previously linked to a bout with former Cage Warriors champ and current UFC fighter Modestas Bukaukas in 2018, but Bergh was forced out of the fight due to an injury.
