Conor McGregor shocks MMA community – Eats dead bees
We all have our favourite snacks, and fighters are no different. Many will resort to healthier snacks, such as blueberries, peanut butter and kale chips, attempting to keep things as beneficial as possible. Conor McGregor surprised many with his recent snacking binge, however, as he recently chowed down on dead bees.
Admittedly McGregor hardly seems to be enjoying it. “Oh my lord,” the Irishman is heard saying before trying one. While doubtlessly nutritious and packed with protein, it’s hardly a go-to snack for many.
McGregor is somewhat ahead of his time, however. With the meat industry becoming increasingly unsustainable, and animal rights groups revealing the inhumane methods used at many slaughterhouses and ranches, many are searching for new alternatives. Veganism has grown substantially, though many people refuse to stop eating meat. Over 1,900 species of insects are edible, and many scientists see insects as the meat of the future, as the effect that the meat industry has on the planet can not continue unchecked much longer.

McGregor is currently without an opponent. He returned from a hiatus in January of this year, finishing Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone via first round TKO. While many have called him out since that UFC 246 main event, he has not had any fights booked just yet. UFC BMF title holder Jorge Masvidal has expressed interest in fighting McGregor as well.
“[McGregor] is a two-time division champion, he has an impressive record and he comes to fight, so in that aspect, yes [I want that fight],” Masvidal said. “And we’re both going to sell out wherever we fight and there’s going to be violence. But if the dude doesn’t want to fight, I’m not a bully, so go do your thing. If he doesn’t want this, I don’t give a fuck then. You want to fight, you don’t want to fight, but don’t flirt with me. You want it or you don’t. Leave me alone if you don’t.”
Despite this fight seemingly making itself, however, it has been downplayed by UFC president Dana White.
