Jon Jones asks UFC to send contract for Francis Ngannou fight
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has asked the UFC to send a deal to fight Francis Ngannou.
The UFC recently concluded the promotion’s third event in just eight days. By most standards, the events were a success, with only one fighter testing positive for Covid-19 out of all athletes involved. One of the biggest winners out of all three events was heavyweight Francis Ngannou, who brutally knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik in just 20 seconds.
Since then UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who has teased a move to heavyweight for years, has been going back and forth with Ngannou, with the two seemingly interested in a fight.

Jones recently doubled down on his bid to face Ngannou at heavyweight, taking to social media to entice the UFC to send a contract.

“Send the deal,” Jones wrote. As of now UFC president Dana White hasn’t spoken out on Jones’ most recent post.
Despite most of the MMA community being on board with Jones vs Ngannou, White didn’t seem as convinced. When asked about the prospect of those two fighting he was apprehensive to say the least.
“Yeah, I mean anything is possible,” White said of a bout between Jones and Ngannou. “I mean I don’t know if those guys really want that fight. You know what I mean? But let me tell you this, and I’m not saying that this is the case with these two. But, you see a lot of talk online and whatever in my opinion. But actually making fight is a whole other ball game.”
