In an interview with Heavy.com, BKFC president David Feldman revealed that the promotion have offered Tyson $20 million dollar to make his return in their ring.
“While we did make a guaranteed offer of $20 million for Mike [Tyson] to fight for Bare Knuckle FC, we’re open to many different options as to how we can work together. Obviously, the excitement of seeing Mike’s video showing himself training and desire to participate in exhibitions inspired us to reach out and make the offer,” Feldman stated.
As of now, Tyson and the BKFC have not reached an agreement. Feldman recently put the brakes on wide-spread rumors that stated that Tyson had agreed.
“Iron” Mike has remained in the sports spotlight for many years. He is still a revered personality who has become a big MMA fan, attending several UFC events and being involved with the PFL.
In contrast to the announcement of his return, he recently sparked headlines following an emotional outburst on his podcast. Tyson admitted that he didn’t like the person that he was leading up to fights. While it’s unclear what has changed since that emotional podcast appearance, it does create unease of Tyson’s return.
