Conor McGregor reveals the secrets behind his social media management

Just how are the social media accounts of UFC superstar Conor McGregor managed, who runs them and how much contact does he have with his fans?

After a certain point managing ones image and personal brand over several social media accounts can become taxing. Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champ George St-Pierre famously revealed that he was not particularly involved in social media, and that his accounts were managed by others. This is not uncommon, as more celebrities than one might think take the same approach. One would be surprised at how often celebrity replies to fan comments are made by someone else.

However, former UFC double champion Conor McGreor takes a much more personal approach to his social media accounts. In an interview with Bleacher Report, McGregor said that he runs all the accounts without assistance, that he personally interacts with fans – And has even met with many face to face.

“People know that I am involved in every aspect, from production to sales and connecting with consumers, especially on my social media directly,” Conor McGregor said. “I run my Instagram and Twitter alone and love responding and seeing how people love my proper liquid gold. I also love to connect with our customers, I have met many, and several have become friends already.”

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, McGregor’s return to the cage is uncertain. According to his team, McGregor plans on returning July 11th, supposedly against Justin Gaethje. This would coincide with International Fight Week, though any such plans are apprehensive at best as of now. While these reports are unconfirmed by the UFC, fans would undoubtedly rejoice in seeing the return of the biggest name in MMA.
