Fan favourite “Suga” Sean O’Malley returns to face “Teco” at UFC 247
“Suga” Sean O’Malley is back, as the promising bantamweight recently announced his UFC return. O’Malley took to instagram to proclaim that his next bout, and thereby return to the UFC, will occur at UFC 247 against Mexican bantamweight Jose “Teco” Quiñonez. As of now neither the UFC or Quiñoez have commented on the supposed fight booking.
O’Malley and Quiñonez were previously scheduled to face off at UFC 229, but was forced to withdraw due to being flagged by USADA as he tested positive for traces of banned substances. O’Malley has however vehemently denied any allegations of wrongdoing.

After an impressive showing at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, where he scored a first round KO win over Alfred Khashakyan. That earned him a contract with the UFC, and he handily defeated Terrion Ware via unanimous decision in an exciting UFC debut. He next faced Andre Soukhamthath, winning a decision despite contracting a serious knee injury in the third round.
Quiñonez got tot he finals in TUF: Latin America, but ended up losing to tournament winner Alejandro Perez. He then won four straight bouts, including victories over established names such as Diego Rivas and Teruto Ishihara. After that Quiñonez faced British prospect Nathaniel Wood, and lost via second round submission. Since then he has however bounced back to the win column with a victory over Carlos Huachin.
