UFC pay per view prices jacked up ahead of Conor McGregor return
ESPN have decided to increase the price of UFC pay per views ahead of Conor McGregor’s much anticipated return to MMA. This has been done in conjunction with UFC 246, where McGregor returns to face fan favourite Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the main event. Today, McGregor holds the record for the most purchased UFC pay per view in his battle with longtime foe Khabib Nurmagomdov at UFC 226.

Now, fans will be forced to pay $ 64,99 for UFC pay per views, a five dollar increase from previous pricing. While this price change has garnered critique from UFC fans, ESPN have commented on the issue.
“This price change represents a return to the price that UFC fans traditionally paid, prior to ESPN+ decreasing the PPV price for most of 2019,” ESPN told Variety.
The McGregor-Cerrone PPV as well as one year’s subscription to ESPN Plus will be priced at a total of $84.98 (compared to $79.98 previously) for new ESPN Plus subscribers. The cost of basic ESPN Plus has not changed.
UFC 246 goes down on January 18th in Las Vegas.
