EXPECT A KO – Francis Ngannou vs Jair Rozenstruik to headline UFC Columbus
The most hard-hitting, explosive match up in the UFC heavyweight division is here. According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the UFC have planned a showdown between Francis Ngannou and Jair Rozenstruik. The match is slated to headline UFC Columbus, taking place March 28th in Columbus, Ohio. As of now the UFC have not officially announced the bout.
“Breaking: Ask and you shall receive. Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Francis Ngannou will headline UFC Fight Night on March 28 in Columbus, per sources. The fight Jairzinho wanted, coming off a 4-0 run in 2019. More info coming to @espn,”Okamoto wrote on Twitter.

After a tough skid, Ngannou is back on track. Since a failed bid to capture the heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic, and a subsequent loss to Derrick Lewis, Ngannou has a new win streak going. He began by defeating Curtis Blaydes via first round TKO. After that he lined up two straight KO wins over former UFC champs Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
Surinam’s Rozenstruik burst onto the scene in 2012, winning six straight fights. He made his UFC debut against Junior Albini, winning by first round KO. He then faced Allen Crowder, winning via the same result, this time in just nine seconds. Rozenstruik then took on former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski, once more winning via first round KO. In his latest outing, he almost went five full rounds with Alistair Overeem, before ending the fight via TKO just four seconds before the ending bell.
