McGregor lost the first bout by neck crank
The first bout between Khabib and McGregor took place on Oct 6, 2018, in Las Vegas and resulted in absolute chaos after Khabib defeated McGregor via neck crank in the fourth round.
After his win, Khabib jumped the cage and attacked McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis, while McGregor was caught in a scuffle with Khabib’s cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov, and two of Khabib’s teammates.
Both Khabib and McGregor were fined and suspended for their participation in the brawl. Since then, Khabib has defended his lightweight title against Dustin Poirier, but McGregor is yet to compete.
