Yoel Romero claims he’s unbeaten in the UFC – Wants Israel Adesanya next
Yoel Romero is done playing games and wants to fight UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya next. In a interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, “The Soldier of God” Romero urged UFC president Dana White to send him a bout contract.
The 42-year-old Cuban also claimed that he is yet to be defeated in the UFC. Romero says his three decision losses to former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and top-contender Paulo Costa were because of the judges.
“Right now, nobody beaten me in the UFC. UFC, nobody beaten me,” Yoel Romero said.
“The last fight, three people beaten me, not Paulo Costa beaten me. Three people beaten me, everybody know what I’m talking about.”

Yoel Romero vs. Israel Adesanya?
With Costa being out of the picture because of a shoulder injury, Romero is one of the front-runners for a fight with Adesany.
But UFC President White has claimed that Romero will not get the chance because of only winning one out of his last four (a KO-win over Luke Rockhold).
Another title shot-contender bout has been rumored between #4 ranked Jared Cannonier and #3 ranked Romero, but nothing is currently official and Romero claimed he is not being offered that fight.
Instead, he once again urges White to let him have another shot at UFC middleweight gold:
“Dana, give me the date. Put in the date. Give me the contract. Give me the contract now,” Yoel Romero said.
“The really people, the fans for the UFC, the people know I am the champ. I am the really champ.”
