Darren Till and Robert Whittaker agree to fight in London
At UFC 244 Darren Till’s successful middleweight debut was something to behold. The British star was a clear betting underdog, battling through injury and other troubles. Despite this he managed to shut down Kelvin Gastelum and win via decision. It catapulted him to the top of the middleweight ranks, and he’s not content waiting around: He wants former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker.
Whittaker recently issued a challenge to Till via The Daily Telegraph, and the Brit is more than willing to oblige.

Till’s victory over Gastelum was a much needed one, as he’d been finished in his two previous outings. After embarking on am impressive win streak since his UFC debut, he was forced to tap out in a title fight with then welterweight champ Tyron Woodley. He then faced Jorge Masvidal on home soil in London, and was viciously knocked out in the second round. Till has also been interested in facing Yoel Romero, but it seems a showdown with Whittaker, who defeated Romero twice, is more enticing.
Whittaker also moved up to middleweight from welterweight and met great success. He went on a tear through the division, defeating the likes of Derek Brunson and Uriah Hall, before earning the interim middleweight title with a win over Romero. The title was then promoted to the undisputed title, and Whittaker defeated Romero once more, this time as undisputed champ. A defence against Gastelum was unfortunately cancelled due to health issues, and Whittaker instead faced Israel Adesanya at UFC 243. The fight was relatively one-sided, with Adesanya knocking Whittaker out in the second round.
Who wins: Darren Till or Robert Whittaker?
