Conor McGregor announces UFC return set for Las Vegas
January 18th, 2020 – That is when we will see Conor McGregor return to the UFC. The former double UFC champion announced the news during his scheduled Parimatch press conference in Moscow, Russia today.
As of now the UFC has not officially announced neither the event or commented on McGregor’s comeback. While no opponent has been announced yet, there are two reported candidates.
According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani: Justin Gaethje and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone are both in contention for the bout, with the latter as then front-runner.

This will be McGregor’s first MMA bout since his submission loss to arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last year. He has previously been linked to bouts with both Gaethje and “Cowboy”, but nothing materialised.
