Colby Covington warns Dana White: “Take the belt… and slap him in the face with it”
It seems there is nobody safe when Colby Covington starts up, even UFC president Dana White.
Covington recently branched out, attacking figured in other sports outside of MMA. First baseball team LA Dodgers came under fire for comments made about a visit to the White House. Next it was basketball star Lebron James who felt Covington’s wrath following the China-NBA controversy. Now, ahead of the biggest fight of his life against welterweight champ Kamaru Usman at UFC 245, things are heating up.

Not even UFC president Dana White got out unscathed after a recent interview Covington did. It seems White should not be the one to wrap the UFC belt around Covington’s waist – Should he defeat Usman and win the title.
“I can tell you who’s not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White,” Covington told Submission Radio. “If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I’m gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it.”
Covington most recently defeated former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler . He has now defeated the likes of Rafael dos Anjos, Demian Maia and Dong Hyun Kim, in his ongoing seven fight winning streak. Despite this, getting past Usman will be no easy feat, no other UFC fighter has managed so far.
