Khabib manager Ali Abdelaziz punched Jon Jones manager Abe Kawa at PFL event
Ali Abdelaziz still remains the most controversial manager in the MMA business.
Domance MMA remains one of the sports most prestigious management groups, headed by CEO Ali Abdelaziz. Despite the good deals that fighters such as Henry Cejudo, Kamaru Usman and Khabib Nurmagomedov get, Abdelaziz has a bit of a varying reputation. He has at times been involved in altercations and contentious relations, and thoses controversies continued recently.
According to the police report, obtained by MMA Junkies John Morgan, Abdelaziz got into a confrontation with rival manager Ibrahim “Abe” Kawa, who runs First Round Management alongside his brother Malki Kawa. The management group rep some of the sports biggest names, like Yoel Romero, Jorge Masvidal and Anthony Pettis.

The confrontation reportedly occurred at a PFL event in Las Vegas, at this weekends event.
“Sgt. A Aguirre P#9645 and Sgt. K. Lorsen P#5746 while on post in the VIP section observed an unknown male later identified as ALAA R ABDELAZIZ (Ali Abdelaziz), strike another male in his face with a closed fist.,” The report reads. “The male identified as the victim identified himself via his Miami ID as Ibrahim Kawa [redacted]. Kawa stated while in the VIP area Aziz approached him stated he needed to speak with him and subsequently struck him in the face with a closed fist on the right side of his face for no reason. Once struck Officers and Mandalay Security immediately responded, and separated both parties. Sgt. Aguirre and Sgt Lorsen observed the incident in its entirety.”
Abe Kawa seems to have taken the incident maturely, not wanting things to get out of hand.

His brother Malki, however, seems substantially more upset about the incident.

Las Vegas Police released a statement, confirming the incident.
“LVMPD officers were on scene and temporarily detained one of the subjects during the investigation. That subject was cooperative. He was issued a citation and released. No enforcement action was taken regarding the second subject, who was also cooperative. There were no significant injuries.”
As of now Abdelaziz has not spoken out about the event.
