Colby Covington rips LA Dodgers: “You wont ever have to…”
Colby Covington is relishing his role as super villain, something the LA Dodgers felt first hand.
The MMA community has been relatively split on Colby Covington. Some enjoy his antagonistic antics while others feel he’s crossed the line on several occasions. Thus far most of those who have come under fire from Covington have been MMA fighters, but that changed recently. Covington has taken a clear stand when it comes to United States president Donald Trump. Constantly wearing his “Make America Great Again” cap, he’s been swift to defend the president, and became the first UFC fighter to visit the White House.
When Dave Roberts, manager for the baseball team LA Dodgers, openly stated he would decline a potential visit to the White House, Covington got triggered. The former interim champ slammed Roberts and the team, saying they wouldn’t ever have to worry about declining that offer.
.@Dodgers #DoNothingDem Dave Roberts blows it again! Trips to the White House are reserved for CHAMPIONS. You won’t ever have to worry about accepting one junior. #BeatLA #WSHvsLAD #MAGA https://t.co/QvCeikdJXv

The Dodgers recently lost a heart-wrenching tie-breaker to the Washington Nationals, rubbing salt in the wound.

Covington will challenge reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for the undisputed title at UFC 245 on December 14th. Usman most recently dominated former champ Tyron Woodley to capture the title via points. Covington put on a five round clinic in his last bout when he defeated Robbier Lawler via decision.
