Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier trilogy fight confirmed
Francis Ngannou will not be next in line for a heavyweight title shot. UFC president Dana White just recently confirmed in an interview with Barstool Sports that UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will defend his title in a third bout with Daniel Cormier.
“Stipe is recovering from that fight, he’s got some bumps and bangs from that fight,” White said. “We’re waiting for him to heal, and, yeah, we’re going to do the trilogy.”

As Miocic hasn’t healed up completely it’s not apparent when he will face Cormier again. UFC 245, scheduled for the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, has no main event as of now. If both fighters are ready to compete by December 14th, their trilogy bout may very well serve as the headlining fight.
Miocic and Cormier first met at UFC 226 with the latter being a sizeable underdog. Despite this, Cormier shocked the world by winning via first round knockout. Cormier had enough time to defend his title once against Derrick Lewis before facing Miocic once more. At UFC 241 Cormier began the fight strongly but Miocic made smart adjustments that won him the fight via fourth round TKO.
