Conor McGregor teases return fight with Nate Diaz: “No b*tch talk. Just real sh*t.”
On august 20th, 2016, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz went at it for a second time, competing in the main event at UFC 202. It was in instant classic, five round war, that saw McGregor win a majority decision. Diaz returned from a nearly three year hiatus this weekend at UFC 241, defeating former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis via unanimous decision. That comeback may have prompted another.

After seeing Diaz triumphant return McGregor was motivated to make comeback himself, hoping for a third fight with his rival. Taking to Instagram, McGregor made his feelings clear.
“3 years to the day myself and this Mexican warrior went to war,” McGregor wrote. “Congrats on the win this weekend Nate, it was motivating to see it for my own comeback. I don’t blame you not mentioning me for the trilogy bout post fight, you know what I’m like when I get going. Vicious. I loved the round 3 style from round 1 that you implemented. It’s what I was hoping you would implement for this bout and was glad to see you do it. I’ll be prepared for it when we go again. If we go again. If not, respect always. A war for the ages. No bitch talk. Just real shit.”

McGregor and Diaz first met at UFC 196, where the latter stepped up as a late replacement for the injured Rafael dos Anjos. As a sizeable underdog, Diaz would go on to shock the world but submitting McGregor in the second round – ending the Irishman’s unbeaten streak in the UFC. Their second bout was considerably more even, but with one win each a trilogy fight has been proposed by fans and media alike for years.
