Tai Tuivasa back for home turf scrap at UFC 243
Australian heavyweight Tai Tuivasa (10-2) is back for a new fight in the UFC! The promotion recently announced the details, and Ukrainian Sergey Spivak (9-1) will serve as opposition. The fight is slated for UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia, October fifth.
Tuivasa built up an impressive 7-0 record before signing with the UFC, defeating Rashad Coulter via first round knockout in his promotional debut. The Australian then faced Junior dos Santos, losing via second round TKO – and receiving his first MMA loss. He most recently went the distance with Blagoi Ivanov, losing via unanimous decision.
Ukranian Spivak also entered the UFC undefeated, coming off of five first round finishes. He faced Walt Harris in his UFC debut but was knocked out in less than a minute at UFC on ESPN+ 9.
