Despite tough skid – Andrei Arlovski aiming for title run

✅ Can "The Pitbull" get back to his winning ways and make a run for the title? ✅ Had impressive win streak in his UFC return

Despite two wins in his last eleven fights, Andrei Arlovski has the UFC title in his sights.

Belorussian veteran Andrei Arlovski is one of the most well known heavyweights in the world. Making his debut way back in 1999 he’s now competed for over two decades. He held the UFC heavyweight title from 2005-2006 and despite parting with the UFC he would go on to gain fame and mainstream appeal with many big fights.

Other news:

As of the last few years he’s been through a rough patch, and has won only two out of his last eleven fights. This weekend he has the opportunity to snap a skid of three losses and one No Contest in a rematch with Ben Rothwell. But Arlovski is looking to to more than that: He wants a new chance to fight for the UFC title.

“It’s just beginning,” Arlovski said in an interview with MMA Junkie. “I got at least four or five more years, so we’ll see. I think so, why not? I’m in a good life right now. I have good coaches (and) team. The most important thing is my wife lets me do what I love to do, so I’m good.”

He also added, “First of all, it may sound stupid or not, but I want to be champion again. That’s why I’m in camp every day. (I) wake up at 6 o’clock in the morning. I stick to my gameplan, stick with my schedule, and do what I love to do.”

In his return to the UFC in 2014 he would line up an impressive four fight winning streak, including knockouts of Travis Browne and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. He would then go on to lose five consecutive fights, three via knockout. Arlovski bounced back with two straight decision wins, but has three losses and one No Contest since then.
