Urijah Faber calls out champ Henry Cejudo – responds to “princess”
Is a superfight between the former WEC champion Urijah Faber and UFC double champ Henry Cejudo the next big fight?
UFC Sacramento is now in the books and no fighter received a warmer, California welcome than the returning veteran: Urijah “The California Kid” Faber. Making his anticipated return to MMA following a short-lived retirement from the sport. He faced off with dangerous, highly touted prospect Ricky Simon in the co-main event at UFC on ESPN+ 13 this weekend, winning by spectacular TKO only 46 seconds in to the first round.

After his magnificent return to form in front of the roaring Californian crowd Faber took the opportunity to issue a challenge to reigning bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo. The champion responded in a manner we’ve now come to expect.
“Careful what you wish for my corn-rolled princess. You could be the next legend to bend the knee to Triple C.”

This prompted a fitting response from Faber, leading to a second comment from Cejudo.

Different landscape at bantamweight
Cejudo has become one of the most accomplished fighters in the lighter weight divisions, as he now stands as a two-divisional UFC champion at flyweight and bantamweight. By defeating Demetrious Johnson and later knocking out TJ Dillashaw, he cemented his status as flyweight great. He took his legacy further by beating Marlon Moraes via TKO to win the bantamweight title, and is now one of the hottest names in the UFC.
With Faber’s triumphant return to MMA he now stands with two straight wins, though the bantamweight division has grown stronger during the Californian’s absence. Faber is however one of the biggest names at bantamweight, which alone could carry him past fighters who are ranked higher than him.
