Arjan Bhullar leaves UFC for ONE – despite two straight wins!
ONE Championship just signed a potential heavyweight contender.
According to reports from MMA Junkie, later confirmed, UFC heavyweight Arjan Bhullar (9-1) has decided to sign with ONE Championship, instead of re-signing with the UFC. Bhullar announced a contract signing via Twitter, to later have the information confirmed by the sources above.
It's a done deal! A new promotional contract and fight agreement is in place. A big thx to my CAA team for doing a fantastic job over the last several weeks with negotiations. Multiple offers on the table to consider but a clear winner in our eyes#TeamBhullar #OneBillionStrong pic.twitter.com/8RycZ0OfFU

Bhullar made some waves in the UFC as the first fighter with Indian heritage in the promotion. He won his first fight against Luis Henrique via decision, but was submitted by polish Adam Wieczorek in his second UFC bout. Since then though he bounced back from the loss with two straight wins, over Marcelo Golm and Juan Adams. The fight with Adams was the last on Bhullars contract, and it seems that ONE were able to offer a much more appealing contract than the UFC could.
