Barboza rebounded from two straight losses in his most recent fight as he dismantled Dan Hooker over the course of two plus rounds before finally putting him away with a body shot in the third round.
Widely considered one of the best strikers in the sport, Barboza also recently started training full time at American Top Team in Florida where he reconnected with the Muay Thai coach who first taught him when he was living in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Gaethje will look to build on his most recent win as well after he destroyed James Vick inside one round when they met this past August.
It took the former World Series of Fighting champion less than 90 seconds to dispatch Vick while also getting back in the win column following a pair of tough losses to Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier.
With a combined 13 performance bonuses between them, Barboza and Gaethje rarely leave anything in the hands of the judges and this promises to be a crowd pleasing affair when they clash in March.
