The UFC have announced a new exclusive broadcast deal with BT Sport for the UK and Ireland.

This news follows a report earlier this week that the UFC terminated an intial contract with Eleven Sports after they failed to secure a deal with Sky or Virgin Media before December.

The news of the BT deal was announced via a press release this morning:

Deal beginning in January 2019 will include all live UFC events and non-live programming

London, UK – UFC and BT Sport have today announced they will continue their broadcast partnership into 2019 and beyond. The channel will have exclusive rights to all live UFC main card events and over 100 hours of non-live programming as part of a multi-year agreement.

With such an exciting roster of talent coming through from the UK & Ireland in the recent years, BT Sport customers can expect to see the likes of welterweight Darren Till, former two division champion Conor McGregor and bantamweight Nathaniel Wood competing in the world-famous Octagon? in the coming years.

The first UFC event in 2019 will see a Super Fight between Olympic gold medalist and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. These two champions are sure to deliver fireworks in the Octagon on January 19. UFC will then make its highly anticipated return to London on March 16 at The O2 arena.
