Michael Bisping Announces Colour Commentator Gig For ESPN

Former UFC champion Michael Bisping is the UFC's newest Colour commentator

The UFC’s final UFC On FOX event on their current deal will take place this weekend and it appears that there are going to be a few changes made as they head into their new partnership with ESPN.

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has recently served as an analyst on the FOX broadcasts, but heading into the new year he would appear to have a new opportunity with the new UFC rights holders.

Speaking on the latest episode of his “Believe You Me” podcast, Bisping revealed some exciting news about how he will transition into a new role with ESPN.

“I’m gonna be commentating UFC events going forward, so that’s interesting and exciting for me,” Bisping said on the latest episode of his podcast. “Just going back-and-forth with the UFC, gonna be obviously continuing with ESPN in the new year. Got the first few dates, Brooklyn, Phoenix, London, so that’s exciting and yeah they’ll be some commentary in there as well. Yet to get my first gig booked, but we’ve negotiated the deal and everything. So that’s good news, it’s exciting times.”

Bisping announced his retirement earlier this year.

In 2017, the Brit suffered back-to-back losses to Georges St-Pierre and then Kelvin Gastelum. Bisping won the UFC middleweight title in 2016 when he defeated Luke Rockhold via KO at UFC 199. He then went on to defend the title once when he avenged his UFC 100 loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 206, winning this time via a unanimous decision.
