Artem Lobov Reiterates Desire To Fight Renato Moicano This Weekend
We’re just five days away from UFC 231 this weekend, but Artem Lobov still wants the UFC to give him a last minute spot on the card.
Last week, UFC officials revealed that Renato Moicano would be on standby this weekend in Toronto, Canada to fill in for either Max Holloway or Brian Ortega if they fail to make it to fight night.
Everyone outside of Moicano will be hoping both Holloway and Ortega make it to the Octagon on Saturday night, but SBG Ireland’s Lobov last Thursday took to Twitter to offer him a fight should he be left waiting on the sidelines.
“You’ve done the hard work and fought the hard fights, but you lack publicity, a fight with me will take care of that for you! Lets go!!!”

He later responded to a fan asking why he thinks he deserves to face a top-5 fighter.
“Do u know any that would take this fight on 10 days? Do u know any that would be willing to make weight and potentially not get a fight and not get paid,” he wrote.
“Moicano has to train and make weight for a fight that might not happen for him, if a fighter goes as far as making weight they usually want to fight, so I offer 100% guarantee of a fight taking place.”
Lobov then reiterated his challenge earlier today. That said, with just five days until fight night, it’s highly unlikely a fight will materialise.
Let me fight Moicano if no1 gets injured @danawhite ,I am 1 of the few to never turn down fights and 1 of even fewer to never pull out, this is the Ultimate Fighting not Ultimate stand by to fight,so lets make Moicano fight!!?????
