Tito Ortiz Responds To Dana White’s Outburst Following His Fight With Chuck Liddell

Tito Ortiz has responded to UFC President Dana White following his outburst regarding his fight with Chuck Liddell.

Tito Ortiz and Oscar De La Hoya were on the wrong end of a Dana White rant yesterday and Ortiz has responded.

Taking to social media last night, Ortiz responded to White’s outburst on the UFC Unfiltered Podcast where he said Ortiz and De La Hoya had no business tempting Liddell out of retirement for one last fight.

Ortiz disagreed with White’s point of view and implied that the blame for Liddell’s return lay at the feet of the UFC President himself for not rewarding them both correctly during their fighting career’s in the UFC.

“Dana White – I appreciate everything you have done for me and the sport. In my humble opinion I don’t feel Chuck and I were compensated correctly for all that we gave and sacrificed for the company,” Ortiz said.

“When you sold the company for over 4.5 billion dollars, how much of that did Chuck and I get? Nothing… I’m trying to build something new and rewarding for the sport!

“This is not about you, it is not about me,” he continued. “I want it to be about the fighters and giving them the opportunity to share in all of the rewards this business has to offer where they don’t have to fight when they are 43 and 48.”

Despite refusing to condem his fight with Liddell this past weekend, Ortiz told TMZ yesterday that he shouldn’t fight again and that he should never lace up the 4-oz. gloves again following his knockout win on Saturday.

“Physically, I don’t think he should [fight again]”, Ortiz said. “I’m not even going to say I will fight him again, because I don’t think he should.”
