The UFC Fight Night card in Denver just lost a main card bout as Ray Borg has been pulled from his flyweight fight against Joseph Benavidez on Saturday night.

UFC officials confirmed Borg was pulled for medical reasons and due to the short notice change, Benavidaz will also be pulled from the card. MMAJunkie first reported the news on Wednesday.

It’s an unfortunate set of circumstances for Borg, who has now missed out on his last two fights due to last minute incidents that left him unable to compete.

In his last scheduled contest, Borg was pulled for the card just days ahead of the event when he was struck with debris from a broken window after Conor McGregor attacked a bus filled with fighters ahead of UFC 223.

Now this latest setback will force Borg to the sidelines yet again with no word on how long he’ll be out of action this time.

As of yet, the UFC hasn’t confirmed which fight will move to the main card to take the place of Benavidez vs. Borg on Saturday night.
