Joe Duffy vs. Ross Pearson In the Works for UFC Fight Night in Adelaide

A lightweight bout between Joe Duffy and former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner Ross Pearson is currently in the works for UFC Fight Night in Adelaide, Australia on Dec. 2.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Saturday.

Both Duffy and Pearson will be looking to bounce back after recent losses.

It’s been nearly a year since Duffy last competed when he suffered a knockout loss to James Vick in November 2017. Prior to that setback, the Irish fighter had picked up back-to-back wins while also inking a new deal to stay with the UFC after testing free agency.

Meanwhile, Pearson is coming off a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance in his last bout against John Makdessi.

The British lightweight has gone just 1-5 in his past six fights while engaging in wars with several top fighters including Dan Hooker and Jorge Masvidal.

Duffy vs. Pearson joins a growing card headed to Australia with heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa as the main event on Dec. 2.
