Nick Diaz Urges UFC To ‘Stop Making Bulls*** Fights’ For Tyron Woodley

Tyron Woodley put on a masterclass against challenger Darren Till last Saturday at UFC 228, but one man who doesn’t seem to have been impressed by his performance is Nick Diaz.

Woodley defeated Till via submission after locking in a D’arce choke at four minutes and 19-seconds of the second round. Till was ranked #2 prior to the fight having defeated two high profile names in Stephen Thompson and Donald Cerrone in the past year.

Woodley had been linked with a fight with interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington, but after Covington indicated he needed surgey on his sinuses, Till got the nod to challenge Woodley this past weekend.

Despite the logical course of events behind the Brit’s title shot, Diaz took to his social media this weekend to send a shot in the direction of the UFC for giving the champion Woodley easy matchups.

“I missed the whole fight,” Diaz said on his Instagram story. “I’ve never had an easy fight in my life. Fight that kid? I wouldn’t take one. It’s like… stop making bullshit fights with this guy.”

Diaz hasn’t fought in the UFC Octagon since January 2015 when he took on Anderson Silva in the main event of UFC 183 in Las Vegas. Silva orignally won the bout via a unanimous decision, but after Silva tested positive for drostanolone and androsterone and Diaz tested positive for marijuana, the result of the bout was overturned to a no contest.

Woodley, who fought on the undercard of UFC 183, has gone 5-0-1 since that night with victories over Kelvin Gastelum, Robbie Lawler, Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia and last weekend Darren Till.
