Calderwood (11-3) was last in action back at UFC Glasgow in July 2017 when she was defeated by Cynthia Calvillo. The Scot had long been calling for the UFC to introduce a 125lbs flyweight division and late last year her wish was answered. Calderwood has fought one time already at flyweight in the UFC and she defeated Valerie Letourneau via unanimous decision in June 2016. She was then forced to fight again at strawweight where she has gone 0-2 since with losses to Jessica Andrade and the aforementioned bout with Calvillo. Calderwood has recently made the move over to Las Vegas, Nevada where she is currently training under Syndicate MMA head coach John Wood.
Faria (18-7-1) will also be looking to get back into the win column having also lost her last two bouts against Mara Romero Borella and most recently Jessica Eye. Faria previously fought for the KSW flyweight title but was defeated by Karolina Kowalkiewicz via a split decision at KSW 30 in 2015. Faria is yet to record a win under the UFC promotional banner.
UFC Nebraska will be headlined by Justin Gaethje taking on James Vick in lightweight action.
