Nick Diaz Blasts Brock Lesnar, Calls Out Heavyweight Champ Daniel Cormier
Nick Diaz wants a fight with UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
Now that might sound rather strange considering Diaz competed for most of his career as a welterweight and only bumped up to fight at middleweight on one prior occasion for a showdown with former champion Anderson Silva
But apparently watching Cormier knockout former champion Stipe Miocic and then engaging in a war of words with former heavyweight king and current WWE superstar Brock Lesnar was more than Diaz could handle.
That’s why he went on an epic rant calling out Cormier and promising to put on a better fight than any other matchup he might find in the UFC right now.
“Sick of this all this baddest man on the planet B.S..,” Diaz wrote. “I’ll fight for any title at any weight. UFC wants to make B.S. WWF fights with guys that fight like s–t and put on an act. Daniel Cormier would look way worse than I do in this pic if he fought Anderson [Silva] the way I did but instead he decided to wrestle f–k him for five rounds in front of his whole life and still almost got finished off in the last round with Silva only having two or three weeks notice.
“Dana White should give me this fight instead of d–k chest Brock Lesnar’s cheating ass. Don’t be scared homie. Nothing personal. I love DC but I don’t like what he does constantly, embarrassed for him and the sport. I [started] doing MMA because it’s not WWF and I’ve never put on a B.S. act in my life. I’m sure fans would like to see a real fight.”
Diaz has been teasing a return to action for quite some time but still never booked a fight. The last time Diaz competed was in that matchup with Silva back in 2015 before he faced a lengthy suspension after testing positive for marijuana.
Right now, Diaz is facing several felony charges in Las Vegas after he was arrested following an alleged domestic assault that took place several weeks ago. Diaz is currently out on bond awaiting his day in court as he plans to contest the charges and has maintained his innocence in the case.
As far as facing Cormier, that seems like a huge long shot but Diaz definitely seems fired up about fighting again in the near future.
