Bradley Scott Cited By USADA Following UFC Liverpool Doping Test
British middleweight turn welterweight Bradley Scott has been cited by the USADA anti-doping program stemming from a test conducted after his fight at UFC Liverpool.
The news was announced on UFC.com this afternoon via the following statement.
“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed athlete Bradley Scott of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an in-competition sample collected on May 27, 2018.
“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Bradley Scott. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
Scott, 29, was defeated by UFC debutant Carlo Pedersoli Jr. at UFC Liverpool via split decision. Prior to that fight, Scott had fought at 185-pounds in the UFC having lost to Robert Whittaker in the final of “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” series in 2012. The Brit has a 3-5 UFC record.
It has not been announced what substance Scott allegedly tested positive for.
