Luke Barnatt To Appeal ‘Robbery’ Decision At ACB 88 Following Majority Decision Loss

British light heavyweight Luke Barnatt will appeal his decision loss to the Karol Celinski this past weekend in Brisbane, Australia.

Luke Barnatt has revealed this morning that he will appeal his decision loss to Karol Celinski at ACB 88 which took place in Brisbane, Australia this past weekend.

Barnatt and Celinski battled it out in a three round main event where the tide turned one way and then the other on multiple occasions.

The Pole clearly took the first round after rocking Barnatt with some clean shots and chasing a finish, but midway through the second the Brit rallied back after landing a knee to the body that seem to take the life out of Celinski.

After landing more clean shots at the end of the second and likely nicking the round on the cards, it was left down to the third where both fighters gave as good as they got.

The fight was then ruled in favour of Celinski via unanimous decision and clearly devastated Barnatt sunk to his knees.

Taking to Instagram this morning, Barnatt revealed that he would be appealing the decision:

“Thank you for the floods of messages coming in from all over the place regarding the robbery I suffered last weekend @acb_mma they have come from so many people I wouldn’t expect to back me, as well as my supporters. I am officially appealing the decision and hunting for my revenge.

I have questioned the decision through the best channels I know and have gone directly to the owner and head of ACB @mairbek_khasiev as I know he prides himself in making sure that ACB is a league the runs on honour and any mistakes are dealt with correctly.

I have also appealed the decision through @herbdeanmma who is in control of handling the officials and any appeals with @acb_mma

Me and @karol_celinski fought our hearts out in the cage on Saturday night in Brisbane, I came out of round 1 battered and bruised taking a lot of damage early in the fight, I pushed through, overcame the adversity and did EXACTLY what fighting is all about, I dug deep, pushed myself and came back in the second & third round, rocking and nearly finishing Karol in the 2nd round where he was saved by the Bell, and then dominating the pace and pressure as well as out striking him in the 3rd.

All you need to do is watch Karol’s face when the decision is called he is amazed to be announced the winner… please watch the fight and share your opinion of the result here, I am not trying to do anything here apart from seek justice, this is not the first time i have been through this and I know first hand the damage these sort of decisions cause to careers, I will not sit by and let it happen you can help.”
