The two Alaskan’s took no warming up and both men opened up their striking early on in the first round. Minus was using his jab well to move into range, but Buchholz was responding with a wide array of kicks to both the legs and body.
By round two Minus was starting to use his superior length to his advantage and he found a range where he good effectively use his jab without Buchholz being able to counter. Buchholz remained game though he landed a series of right hands to keep Minus honest and temper his forwards pressure.
The final round start with Buchholz throwing everything at Minus and he caught him with a knee early on to rock him. Buchholz then pressured forward looking to land a big right hand but Minus covered up well and managed to get out of it. Minus then landed another series of jabs to reopen a cut that had formed around his right eye. Buchholz then landed a head kick that caught Minus flush, but Minus merely smiled and acknowledged that his opponent had caught him.

Both men looked tired by the end of the 15-minutes and justifiably so. It was a great fight and both men gave a good account of themselves.
The judges cageside scored the fight unanimously to Minus 30-27, 29-28, 29-28. Minus is now 8-0 as a professional and called for UFC president Dana White to “give me a chance.”
