Fighters faced the scale for Combate Américas: “MEXICO VS USA”, eight-bout event that will feature Sacramento superstar and Anthony “The Shark” Avila (15-5) taking on rising star Jose Luis Verdugo (7-5) of Tijuana, B.C., Mexico in a lightweight (155 pounds) contest.
In a featherweight (145 pounds) attraction, Horacio “The Punisher” Gutierrez(4-3) of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico will collide with Nate Diaz protégé Chris Avila (5-6) of Stockton, Calif.
Initially scheduled to fight Kyra Batara of Las Vegas, Nevada, Top-20 world ranked atomweight Lisbeth “Bunny” Silva (5-3) of Mexico City, Mexico, will clash against Brenda “Little Hands of Stone” Enriquez (1-1) from Salt Lake, Utah, in a catchweight (110 lbs) bout.
The live, 90-minute UDN telecast of “Combate Americas: Mexico vs USA” Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) extravaganza at McClellan Conference Center in Sacramento, California on Friday, May 11, begins at 8 p.m. PT/ 11 p.m. ET.
